We sincerely ask that you make his last journey beautiful, and we earnestly ask for your deep condolences.”

The agency also issued a statement about the funeral. While they refrained from sharing details about the venue of the funeral, they said that the family will be hosting a private funeral which will be attended by Moonbin’s family members, friends and his company colleagues.

Following the shocking news of his death, ASTRO fans, popularly referred to as AROHA took to various social media platforms to pay their respects and offer their condolences to his family. They also offered prayers for his sister, Moonsua, who is also a K-pop singer. She is a part of the girl group Billlie.

Emotional fans have been revisiting clips of Moonbin from his performances and fan interactions as well. Several clips of him sharing heartfelt moments with his fellow ASTRO members are also going viral. Besides AROHA, fandoms of other K-pop groups including BTS, BLACKPINK, EXO, and more have been offering tributes to Moonbin.

The singer was slated to perform with his ASTRO Sanha, as part of their unit group, at the 2023 Moonbon & Sanha Fan Con Tour: Diffusion in Jakarta on May 13. However, the event has been canceled.

Covid Cases Today: India Breaches 12,000-Mark, Active Caseload At 65,289

 

India on Thursday breached the 12,000-mark and reported 12,591 fresh infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of active cases to 65,289, as per the data shared by health ministry. 

On Wednesday, the country breached the 10,000-mark and reported 10,542 cases of coronavirus and 38 deaths will 11 recociled by Kerala. The active cases went up to 63,562 while the total death toll climbed to 5,31,190. 

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,42,50,649, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent. 

1,757 Covid Cases In Delhi, 6 Fatalities

The national capital on Wednesday recorded 1,757 cases of Covid-19, six deaths and a positivity rate of 28.63 per cent, as per the data shared by city's health department. The latest fatalities has taken the total number of deaths to 26,578 in Delhi. Out of 7,967 beds, 377 are occupied.

On Tuesday, the city recorded 1,537 fresh Covid-19 cases while on Monday, it was 1,017 cases. 

In view of rising Covid cases in the national capital, the Delhi prisons department has instructed jail inmates not to gather at one place and wash hands regularly, officials said on Wednesday.  

The official said the five active Covid cases in Tihar jail tested positive around 10 days ago and were admitted to the central hospital, which comprises 50 beds.

"They are fine and will be discharged soon. Inmates can also be shifted to either DDU or LNJP hospitals," another official said.

Mumbai Logs 234 Cases, One Death 

Mumbai on Wednesday reported 234 new coronavirus positive cases, taking the city's overall tally to 11,61,136, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. A 73-year-old male with chronic kidney disease - succumbed to the infection during the day, which raised the death toll to 19,755, it said.

While the Maharashtra state logged 1,100 new coronavirus infections and four fatalities, according to the bulletin by the health department. 

Thane city, Pune city and Satara district recorded one fatality each.

Witht the new cases, the number of active cases in the state has reached to 6,102 while the state's Covid-19 case tally rose to 81,58,393, and death toll to 1,48,489.

The recent opening of Apple’s first retail store in India was an occasion for celebration for many. Apple fans in Mumbai were delighted to know that their city would be the first of many to have an Apple store in its vicinity. So, a celebration was in order. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, was present at the launch.

Numerous customers lined up on Tuesday morning outside the glass gates of the new Apple in Bandra Kurla Complex.  Tim Cook officially opened the doors to the store and let in a long queue of excited customers inside the store. The launch marks 25 years of Apple in India, giving the company another reason to rejoice at the event.

Videos and images from the launch have been going around the internet like hotcakes. Among the many that ended up on Twitter, an image of a loyal customer bringing his 1987 Macintosh SE to surprise Tim Cook at the launch has gone insanely viral.

It was not just the customer's adorable gesture that intrigued people online, but also the Apple CEO’s reaction to seeing the small computer cradled in the customer’s hands that took the internet by surprise. On seeing the 1987 Apple personal computer, Cook was visibly astonished and delighted at the same time.

He gave a big reaction to the customer and had a quick chat with the man who held the computer monitor in his hands. The duo then also had a few pictures clicked in front of the Apple store; their interaction was caught on camera and went viral on the internet.

The Apple enthusiast stood in line, waiting for the doors of the store to open along with his Macintosh. While standing in line, the man told CNBC, "It's been a long journey. I'm happy Apple is opening its store in India."

The Macintosh computer, which is now popularly known by its pet name Mac, was introduced to the public in 1987 and was discontinued in 1989 shortly after. The computer was launched at the same time as the Mac II. The computer came in a new platinum case and addressed the issue of expansion.

The Macintosh SE had an expansion slot and also included an extra bay for either a second internet hard drive or a floppy disk. The computer was also one of the first Apple Macs to include an Apple Desktop Bus (ADB), which allowed it to connect to up to 16 input devices. At the time, it was sold for $2,898 (over Rs 2 lakhs), but was quickly replaced after 2 years with a SE FDHD version of the Macintosh.
